Couple Arrested with 8 Kg of Cannabis

In Mymensingh, the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has arrested a couple with 8 kilograms of cannabis during an anti-drug operation. On Tuesday (May 19, 2026), the operation was conducted in the Raghurampur Noluapara Shambhuganj area under Kotwali Model Police Station, led by Md. Kawsarul Hasan Roni, Assistant Director of the DNC, Divisional Intelligence Office Mymensingh. The arrestees are, Ms. Shefali Akter Asha (21) and Md. Hasibul Hasan (21). Both are residents of Madhabpur Upazila in Habiganj district. The Department of Narcotics Control has stated that the ongoing operations against drugs will continue in the future as well.
